UPDATE as of 5:43pm 8/26/18: 382 personnel are working on the fire, and the Terwilliger Fire is now at 5,398 acres. The fire is on both the east and west sides of the Cougar Reservoir.
Firefighters are likely to be helped by Sunday’s forecast. Inciweb says the forecast predicts cloudy conditions with temperatures in the 60s, with higher humidity and a chance of showers in the afternoon and evening.

But come Monday, the weather will become warmer and drier, conditions that will continue through the week with increased fire behavior likely.
The Willamette National Forest has implemented a forest-wide campfire ban, which includes all campgrounds and wilderness areas. Flight restrictions remain in effect over the incident area.
The cause remains under investigation. The incident was first reported August 19th.
