UPDATE: The Level 1 Evacuation notification has been cancelled. But the Lane County Sheriff says residents in the Row River area between Dowens Rd and Shoreview Drive should monitor lanecounty.org for updates. The fire is 10 percent contained. Power in the area has been turned off to protect first responders. The outage area includes the former evacuation area and portions of Sears Rd, Laying Rd, and other nearby roads. Power will be off over night.
The Lane County Sheriff has issued a Level 1, Be ready, evacuation notice for residents in the Row River Road area between Dowens and Shoreview east of Cottage Grove. Now is the time for people with special needs, large animals or equipment to move closer to Cottage Grove, according to the sheriff’s office.
