Both the Lane County Farmers Market and the Eugene Holiday Market are remaining outdoors to reduce the risk of coronavirus transmission. The idea is to create a safe, festive atmosphere where people can buy local.
Both the Farmers Market and Holiday Market will be in the downtown Eugene park blocks. Lane County Farmers Market Marketing coordinator Meghan Verberkmoes said they’re looking forward to being outdoors for the rest of the season.

“I think the farmers and food artisans have gotten creative with creating new products basically. In order to have more to sell.” Verberkmoes said. “Think of pickles and preserve types of things. Nettle tea, and all kinds of different things.”
Also, look for local winter squash, apples, pears and other seasonal produce. Shoppers are required to wear masks and practice social distancing.
The Farmers Market and Holiday Market will operate Saturdays through December 19th at the downtown Eugene park blocks. The Farmers Market’s new hours are 10-2. The Holiday Market is open from 10-3.
