Public Health officials were notified Monday of five new positive COVID-19 test results in Lane County. This puts the county at a total of 65 confirmed cases and one presumptive case.
Of the five new cases, all are from Eugene/Springfield. Two are in their 30’s, two are in their 50’s and one is in their late 60’s.
Three of the patients have a known link to an existing case. One contracted the virus through household transmission. And one was identified through point-of-care testing.
Communicable disease investigations, including contact-tracing, are currently underway. Public Health says if a public contact site is identified, that information will be shared community-wide.
