About 2.5 miles of road in Roseburg will undergo maintenance this week.
Contractors will apply slurry seals, gravel and asphalt to protect the underlying pavement from Tuesday, Aug. 25 to Thursday, Aug. 27. Residents will need to move their vehicles, or the city will tow them at the owner's expense.
In a news release, the city said the newly renovated Brown Park will also be closed to vehicle access on Thursday, Aug. 27.
“Public Works appreciates your patience with this project,” said Roseburg Public Works Director Ryan Herinckx. “Applying a slurry seal is a great way to keep good pavement in good condition and prevent expensive repairs in the future.”
According to the city of Roseburg, 19 streets are under construction including Main Street. More information is available on the city’s website.
