Springfield Mayor Christine Lundberg plans to run for another term in 2016. She has led the city since 2010.
Lundberg is proud of the economic development underway in Springfield and possibilities for Glenwood. She's excited about a U of O Architecture School project. It's the design of a parking structure built with advanced wood products-- she'd like it to be in Glenwood
Lundberg: "Glenwood has the opportunity to be a demonstration community to highlight what you can do. Because it's renewable, it's our own resources. It's net-negative carbon emissions. So there's all kinds of potential."
Lundberg was appointed mayor in 2010 after Sid Lieken became a County Commissioner. She won election in 2012. Lundberg grew up in Springfield. At her latest state of the city address she announced a new mural for the city. It will feature fellow Springfield native Ken Kesey.
