This past June we reported on a Eugene food truck going up against a Los Angeles-based challenger, as part of a new traveling contest series, “Burger Truck Brawl.”
While shooting wrapped up in late June, the results weren’t revealed until this weekend on the Discovery Plus Network.
Sad spoiler: local favorite Sammitch lost to the Billionaire Burger Boyz.
But Sammitch owner Casey Brooks isn’t letting the outcome wilt his outlook. In an email to KLCC, Brooks says being on “Burger Truck Brawl” was an amazing experience, that let them show why Eugene and the Sammitch scene is so unique.
Brooks says his food truck and crew are doing only special events currently, but plan to provide food for The Big Dirty, and hopefully be at home Duck games before winter.
