A new non-stop flight between the Eugene Airport and Dallas-Fort Worth International begins today (3/4/21.)
Acting Airport Director Cathryn Stephens says the American Airlines service is a welcome addition to their current flights.
“We really need some additional eastbound service," says Stephens. "So this is a great way if you’re either going south or if you’re headed to the east coast, it’s a great connecting point. So this should provide a lot more options for our local passengers and some good connectivity from the IDFW hub.”
COVID-19 protocols remain in place, which includes wearing masks during flights.
Stephens says both the Eugene and Dallas-Fort Worth airports have received accreditation by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council for their cleanliness and sanitation efforts.
