PeaceHealth has placed 420 caregivers on administrative leave because they remain unvaccinated against COVID-19.
As numbers were being finalized, PeaceHealth Oregon confirmed so far the unvaccinated count amounts to 7.5 of the network's workforce in hospitals, clinics and administrative settings.
In a statement, PeaceHealth officials said when possible, those with approved vaccination exemptions have been placed in “remote work roles.” They also acknowledged that many of those unvaccinated caregivers will choose to leave the PeaceHealth organization.
