In the upcoming election, Central Oregon Coast Fire and Rescue is asking voters to approve the same levy increase that was rejected last November. This time around, four jobs are on the line.

Union firefighters at Central Oregon Coast Fire & Rescue were given notice last week that potential layoffs loom for the cash-strapped agency.

A rural fire district levy in Seal Rock won approval from voters, but in neighboring Waldport, an operations levy went down.
