Dillon Gabriel has been named the AP Offensive Player of the Year and the AP Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year. Eugene native Bryce Boettcher received the Burlsworth Award for being the nation's most outstanding player who began his career as a walk-on.

Harkening back to the days of Heisman Trophy winner Marcus Mariota, Hawaii-born Dillon Gabriel has led the undefeated Ducks into Saturday's Big Ten championship game against Penn State with dual-threat flair.

The Ducks have a chance to be 9-0 for the first time since 2012, the last season it was No. 1 in the AP Top 25.

Dillon Gabriel threw for three touchdowns and ran for another, and top-ranked Oregon routed No. 20 Illinois 38-9 to remain undefeated this season. Gabriel finished 18-of-26 for 291 yards and Oregon racked up 527 yards of total offense. Tez Johnson caught six of Gabriel’s passes for 102 yards and a score. The Ducks haven’t started a season with eight straight wins since 2013. It was Oregon’s third win over a ranked team this season.

Oregon is ranked No. 1 in the current AP Top 25, the first time it has held the top spot in the rankings since 2012.

Jordan James ran for two scores and Dillon Gabriel threw for two more, leading No. 2 Oregon to a 35-0 rout at Purdue. The undefeated Ducks showed no signs of a hangover after making a cross-country road trip on a short week following last week's win against Ohio State.

No. 2 Oregon got its biggest win of the season — beating Ohio State at home last weekend. The reward: A trip across the country to face reeling Purdue on Friday night.

Gabriel threw two touchdown passes and ran for another late score, helping third-ranked Oregon outlast No. 2 Ohio State 32-31 on Saturday night.

This weekend is a first-ever matchup of top-five football teams at Autzen Stadium, with the No. 3 Ducks facing the No. 2 Ohio State Buckeyes.

No. 2 Ohio State at No. 3 Oregon is the featured game of Week 7 of the college football season. This could be the first of as many as three meetings of the Buckeyes and Ducks, with matchups in the Big Ten championship game and playoff possible.

With another win in hand, sixth-ranked Oregon can now look toward Ohio State and one of the most anticipated games of the Ducks' first season in the Big Ten.
