Lane County Fair Returns at Full Capacity

Lane County Fair

The Lane County Fair is opening at full capacity on Wednesday, as Oregon’s COVID-19 gathering restrictions have been relaxed.

Assistant Fair Manager Rachel Bivens says people are excited to be able to have an in-person fair this year.

“You know, we have been preparing for many different versions of the fair based on whatever the regulations were, and then to have them just released is fantastic,” Bivens said. “We’re really excited that we are able to offer a full fair.”

Following Oregon Health Authority guidelines, masks will not be required, though they are advised for unvaccinated fairgoers. Fair staff will be sanitizing surfaces and high contact points regularly.

“We’re just asking people to be kind and considerate and come out and join us and join this fun ‘cause we’re all thrilled to be back,” Bivens said.

Some of this year’s attractions include a carnival and rides, magic shows, food vendors, and America’s Got Talent stunt dog show The Canine Stars.

The fair’s concert series is also full capacity, and tickets for musical guest Nelly sold out in 45 minutes, according to Bivens.

More information on attractions and tickets can be found on the Lane County Fair website.
