Free showing of George Pal's post-apocalyptic science fiction classic based on the 1895 novella of the same title by H. G. Wells.
The story is set in Victorian England and follows an inventor who constructs a machine that enables him to travel into the distant future. Once there, he finds his vision of and search for a utopian society disillusioned: mankind's descendants have divided into two species, the passive, childlike, and vegetarian Eloi and the underground-dwelling Morlocks, who feed on the Eloi.
It is a story about life and abundance, and the contemporary angst about industrial relations and social degeneration. It is a study of the end times, the end of the world, and the ultimate destiny of humankind.

This platter of cinematic "small bites" contains a little something for everybody-- ponderous thinkers, fluffy trifles, some with acid undertones, some more earthy, all meant to whet your appetite for DIY creation in your own creative endeavors.
Entry is free, donations open. Berets and other snooty accoutrement are highly encouraged.
