A staff person at the Green Valley Rebilitation Center in Eugene has tested positive for COVID-19. Lane County Public Health spokesperson Jason Davis says response was rapid.

“Public Health went in and tested over 220 individuals- of those 220 individuals- no new cases have been identified,” Davis said. “We will continue to test and continue work with Green Valley to make sure that spread does not continue.”

Around the country, long term care facilities have been identified as particularly vulnerable to outbreaks.

The number of positive COVID-19 cases in Lane County stands at 89 (with one presumptive case.)

Four new cases have been identified since Monday (06/15/2020) including a child under the age of ten and a teenager.
