Free COVID-19 Testing Offered In Rural Lane County

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

To better understand how COVID-19 is moving through rural communities, Lane County Public Health is conducting low-barrier testing at several locations over the next month.

The tests are available to anyone, but priority will be given to people in high-risk groups, firsts responders, and those who are symptomatic for the virus.

On Wednesday 92 people were tested in Oakridge. Other testing events will be held in Mapleton, Florence and Cottage Grove.

There are also testing clinics for the Latinx community in Florence, Cottage Grove and Eugene.

The testing is free and all results are confidential. If an individual does test positive, they will be contacted by the public health department.
