The Oregon Government Ethics Commission (OGEC) has dismissed the case of former University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication Dean Juan-Carlos Molleda. The dismissal was first reported by the Register-Guard.
Molleda resigned as dean this summer, after the Oregon Daily Emerald reported on his high spending on travel.
UO appointed Regina Lawrence, associate dean of the SOJC Portland, as interim dean.
According to the Daily Emerald, a university-initiated audit of Molleda’s travel and the financial state of the SOJC is still ongoing.
