Bridge Preservation Project On I-105 in Eugene Wrapping Up

ODOT

The two-year I-105 bridge preservation project is almost finished. The good news, according to transportation officials, is that Eugene-Springfield drivers won’t be experiencing any more lane closures associated with the project.

Angela Beers-Seydel with the Oregon Department of Transportation said daily commuters should experience no road-work on I-105 starting Friday.

“And, this is the final part, working on the bridge over the Willamette River to make sure that it’s there as the lifeline we need it to be.” Beers-Seydel said.  “And, we are pleased that we are in those final stages of getting it done.”

Beers-Seydel says crews will be still be doing some overnight work. The $18 million project repaired, repaved and added seismic upgrades to the bridges and ramps between downtown Eugene and Delta Highway on I-105.
