The Eugene Emeralds are gearing up for a new baseball season and fans can expect changes when going to PK Park.
The Ems haven’t played a game since 2019. In March, they weren’t even anticipating having fans when their season opened but, they’ve been adjusting expectations along with county risk levels.
Assistant General Manager Matt Dompe said they were conservative with their maximum capacity so the recently rising risk level won’t have too much impact.
“Honestly, the idea of playing a game in an empty stadium in PK Park doesn’t really sound like that much fun,” said Dompe. “So, we’re excited about being able to bring our fans back.”
A few of the planned changes are to seat groups in pods with at least 3 seats open on each side, as well as the row in front and back. They’re also switching to digital tickets and going cashless at concessions.
