The defeat means the end of the Beavers' hopes for a bowl game.

Oregon State stopped Colorado State twice on fourth-and-goal to end it for a 39-31 victory over Colorado State on Saturday night.

Griffin’s 14-yard touchdown run with 9:57 remaining extended the lead to 31-14 and the Beavers (3-1) were well on their way to a bounce back win after losing 49-14 to rival Oregon.

Dillon Gabriel threw for 291 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 64 yards with another score to lead No. 9 Oregon to a 49-14 win over rival Oregon State on Saturday.

The Beavers recorded their first shutout since September of 2021.

The Beavers amassed 379 yards rushing in the win.

Oregon State is about to begin a season unlike any other in Corvallis. The Beavers find themselves stuck in college football purgatory facing uncertainty about their future. The Washington State Cougars and the Beavers now make up the entirety of what used to be the Pac-12 before it collapsed last summer. The Beavers have the additional challenges of a new head coach in Trent Bray and an exodus to the transfer portal that has left holes in the roster.

In the 2024 NFL Draft, Oregon's Bo Nix was selected No. 12 by the Denver Broncos, while Oregon State's Taliese Fuaga went to the New Orleans Saints with the No. 14 overall pick.

The annual rivalry football game between Oregon State and the University of Oregon will be played next year, after all. After the Ducks announced their departure from the Pac-12 this year, the future of the more-than-century-old match-up was in doubt.

The No. 6 Ducks host the No. 15 Beavers in the Rivalry Game on Friday, Nov. 24.

Oregon notched a 49-13 win over Arizona State, while Oregon State fell 22-20 to Washington.

For the first time in nearly 80 years, the UO Ducks football team won't be playing the OSU Beavers, according to a schedule of the 2024 season released Thursday by the University of Oregon.
