Parking Meters

Throughout 2025, more than 50 local artists made small circular pieces of art that fit into the empty coin vaults of downtown Eugene parking meters. Now the art is getting displayed at The Oblivion Gallery.

Last fall’s jewelry heist at the famed Louvre Museum rocked the art world. Turns out, downtown Eugene’s seen its own share of art theft in recent months.

Roseburg’s City Council voted Monday to replace its downtown parking meters with time-limited spots.

Vehicles with unpaid parking tickets in Newport will be getting the boot, starting Aug. 1.

Vandalism has plagued downtown Eugene parking meters since early 2023. It’s become so prevalent that the city is converting to credit card-only meters.
