REI plans to relocate its Eugene store across the river

REI Co-op announced this week it will relocate from the historic Planing Mill Building in Eugene’s Whiteaker neighborhood across the river to Oakway Center.

The REI store in Eugene is amongst the first in the country where employees have petitioned to unionize.

Employees at the REI store in Eugene voted against unionizing May 30. The final count was 20 in favor of the union and 22 votes against it.
