Eugene has been chosen to host the 2027 USA Track & Field Outdoor Championships and Para National Championships.

Friday, May 30, marks 50 years since the death of legendary Oregon distance runner Steve Prefontaine.

The World Athletics Council has chosen Eugene to host its youth track-and-field championships at Hayward Field in 2026.

Eugene’s annual Prefontaine Classic track and field meet is happening in September this year, rather than earlier in the summer, as usual.
