73rd Walterville Community Fair

73rd Walterville Community Fair
It is fair time again and we will be celebrating the 73rd Walterville Community Fair on September 6, from 9 AM to 4 PM.
Get your entries ready and show off your skills in canning, baking, flowers, fruits, vegetables, sewing and handiwork, arts and crafts, and antiques. Entries will be accepted from 7:30 to 9:30 AM (judging starts at 9:30).
The Walterville Waddle 5K Run/Walk will start at 9 AM. For information about the Waddle, call Jeff at 541-915-2163. Flag raising will be at 10 AM.
Then you can enjoy the parade from the sidelines or participate in it. The theme of the parade this year is “McKenzie Valley Dreams.”
It will start at the Walterville Fire Station at 11 AM. If you are interested in joining the parade, please call Dani at 541-520-1827.
We will begin serving our famous barbecue chicken dinner at 11:30 AM.
The dinner will consist of one-half chicken, corn on the cob, baked beans, pasta salad, and dessert.
The dinner will be only $12 this year (a bargain you can’t pass up). Or, if you are not a chicken person or have a smaller appetite, we will have a hot dog and bag of chips available for $3.
There will be a raffle drawing at 2 PM, so be sure to buy your tickets early because the drawing is an hour earlier than in the past.
There will be lots of vendors to shop from throughout the day. If you are a vendor and would like to have a stand there, please call Jeff at 541-915-2163.
This will be held at the Walterville Grange Community Hall at 39259 Camp Creek Road, in Walterville. We hope to see you at the fair with all your family and entries.
For more general information call 541-521-4760 and leave a message (calls will be returned).
