Come out on the third Saturday in August for our annual Honey Bee Field Day & Picnic at Well Rooted Produce! A fun, family-friendly gathering for beekeepers, gardeners, and anyone curious about pollinators. This event is open to all. Bring your curiosity and come meet the bees!

• Live hive demonstrations and bee colony peeks (protective wear provided where needed)
• Honey tasting, melon sampling
• Observation hives, scavenger hunts, and hive box painting for kids & adults
• Silent raffle with prizes available for pickup at 2 times
• Everything Queens - an interactive presentation from Heike Williams featuring hands‑on participation, show‑and‑tell, and a skills check at the end.
• Plenty of open space to wander, learn, and chat with local beekeepers

Visitors are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch, lawn chair, and a water bottle. Optional items include funds to shop for local honey or U-pick produce from Well Rooted Produce’s gardens. Our goal is to foster a deeper understanding of pollinators and their role in our food systems. This is a joyful way to connect people to bees, nature, and the amazing work being done in our community.
