The voter registration deadline for the May 19, 2020 primary election is Tuesday, April 28.
Government offices to be voted on include the mayors and city councilors of Eugene and Springfield, Lane County commissioners, Lane County Sheriff and Eugene Water and Electric Board and Springfield Utility Board commissioners.
In addition, voters in Lane, Lynn, Benton and Douglas counties will decide whether to approve a bond measure for Lane Community College and Creswell residents will decide if proposed changes to the city charter should be approved.
Residents can register to vote online at OregonVotes.org, mail in a voter registration card to the elections office postmarked no later than Tuesday, April 28, or submit their registration to their county elections office by 5 PM.
New voters who will turn 18 on or before the May 19 Election Day may register by the April 28 deadline and receive a ballot, even if they are still 17 on the deadline date.
Tuesday is also the deadline to change your party affiliation.
