Modern era Jazz with an emphasis on innovation, virtuosity, and exploring new ground -- including the synthesis of Jazz with music forms such as Hip-hop, World Music, Jazz-Rock fusion and others.   Midnight Passages celebrates the mystery and abundant richness to be found in modern-era Jazz, and recognizes key contributions by practitioners of the art.  It includes a healthy assortment of Jazz performers captured in live recordings, as well occasional artist interviews and live in-studio performances.
