Josiah Jansen, who works in the pharmacy at Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver, holds up a vial of Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020.

The FDA has authorized a Pfizer-Biontech Covid-19 vaccine for children ages 5-11. The lower-dose formulation of the vaccine used in adults was found to be safe and 90.7 percent effective in preventing covid-19.

Dr. Patrick Luedtke, Lane County Senior Public Health Officer, talks with KLCC's Rachael McDonald about how the vaccine roll-out will take place and answers questions from listeners.

You can contact Lane County Public Health’s Covid-19 call center by calling 541-682-1380. Or go to their website.

If you have questions for next week's Friday Show please send them to news@klcc.org as an email or voice memo or leave us a voicemail at 503-877-3198.
