April 2, 2020 -- Continued Questions and Answers with Anni Katz:
You have lived around the country, what brought you back to Oregon?
Family! I wanted my kids to grow up near my parents. I'm also a West Coast girl at heart - the access to nature, the more laid back approach to life, etc. I wanted to be part of a community, to know my neighbors.
You worked at some of the biggest public radio stations, any career highlights you'd like to share?
I interned at On The Media. This experience was intimidating and inspiring - truly everyone was the smartest person in the room. I got to work on the pilot for The Takeaway and as a Morning Edition producer.
When life returns to normal, what's a perfect weekend morning for your family?
To stay in bed as long as possible! Luckily, I my two daughters appreciate the power of a good "snuggle puddle." We lounge in bed until my husband makes me a mean oat milk latte.
