A section of the McKenzie River Trail is still closed while crews battle the Blue Top Fire east of Eugene. The blaze has grown to 15 acres in rough terrain. The trail is closed between Trail Bridge Campground and Carmen Reservoir. There is no public access to the popular Blue Pool area. People driving along highway 126 in the area are urged to use caution. There may delays due to smoke and fire-fighting activities.
