As bass man for The Tones, the producer of the Rainbow Optics jingles, and the cowboy legend/myth Elrod Jones (who crashed both the Willamette Valley Folk Festival AND a Eugene Celebration), Jones became a fixture around Eugene during the late 80's. Then he left, then he came back 20 years later to found BUFFALO ROMEO whose #1 claim to fame was the 650K vid hit (YouTube), HANG ON RUTHIE.

Jones is comfortable jumping off script during shows, free-styling acapella Sly Stone & Phil Harris, and providing history lessons on where these classic tunes came from...
