Join the Springfield Public Library for a free showing of the 2000 Argentine Foreign film, Nine Queens at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 10th at the Wildish Community Theater in downtown Springfield. This showing is a Spanish Language film with English Subtitles.

Juan is a con artist who is strapped for cash due to a bribe he owes a judge for his aging father’s prison hearing. He meets Marcos, a fellow con artist, and they hatch a plot to sell a forged stamp sheet to a wealthy Spanish man and split the profits. From here, the plot twists and turns in this suspenseful heist film from Argentina. This Film is rated R for language. All SpringFilm events are free and open to the community.

SpringFilm continues at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 15th, 2024, with a free showing of the classic film Catch – 22.
