A murder suspect last spotted in the Noti area remains at-large, after abandoning his truck and setting fire to it near milepost 39 on Highway 126.
Paul Frasier is the Coos County District Attorney. He said the unidentified man is believed to have killed three people in North Bend today. One was a hit-and-run victim, the others were found dead in a cannabis shop and a trailer. A fourth victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.
Frasier says authorities are searching for the man, and urge locals to be aware of the danger.
“Given with the circumstances today, and the fact that we have a witness that he said that he fled the truck with a gun, we have to believe that he’s armed and dangerous," said Frasier.
"Anybody that sees this individual should not approach him, and stay clean the heck away from him, and immediately call 911.”
The man is described as a white male, 6' 2", weighing 200 lbs., last seen wearing jeans with a dark shirt.
No motive has been given for the murders, or if the suspect knew his victims.
