COVID-19 cases are leveling off in Lane County, while testing continues to ramp up. That’s from county public health spokesman Jason Davis, at today’s daily briefing on the pandemic.
Davis says there have been no new positive cases of COVID-19 since yesterday, so the number sits at 48. At least 2,010 tests from across Lane County are being sent to labs as well.
“Of our confirmed cases, one remains hospitalized, twenty-one of our cases have recovered," Davis announced. "So we are rapidly approaching half of our cases recovered.
"And the closer that we get to that number being equal, and all of our people being recovered, the further down this path of the plateau and flattening the curve we will get.”
Lane County still has one fatal case of COVID-19. Residents are advised to maintain social distancing, keep washing their hands, and wear masks outside the home.
