You might need extra layers because there’s a potential for snow in the Willamette Valley next week. KLCC spoke to The National Weather Service in Portland.
According to meteorologist Dave Elson, a cold front from Canada will be moving into our area early next week. It looks like it could hang around for about seven days.
Elson says precipitation in the Willamette Valley is likely.
“During the course of next week we’ll have a couple systems moving through. Some of them will bring some chances for some snow to the valleys,” said Elson. “The weather pattern is certainly worth monitoring next week for that snow potential.”
Elson is not ruling anything out, but says it’s hard to say exactly when and how much it will snow. The National Weather Service will continue assessing the situation and have a better idea in the next few days.
