Lincoln County will move into Phase Two of Oregon’s coronavirus re-opening plan starting Tuesday, September 29.
Despite a rise in cases statewide, Lincoln County has only had a handful of positive tests in the past two weeks. County leaders had initially wanted to move to Phase Two in August, but postponed their request to make sure cases weren’t spreading. The county had been the site of several large workplace outbreaks in late spring.
Under Phase Two, more types of businesses can open, including recreational venues.
The decision leaves just four Oregon counties remaining in Phase One: Multnomah, Clackamas, Washington and Malheur.
