The Roseburg Fire Department announced Thursday, they may have to intermittently close one of their fire stations due to COVID-19 related staffing shortages.
Fire Chief Monte Bryan said there would be no reductions in services or emergency response throughout the city if Fire Station 2 on 2177 W. Harvard Ave. were to close. He adds efforts are being made to limit closures and to reopen the station quickly if it does close.
All other personnel would be redistributed to Fire Station 1, on 700 S.E. Douglas Ave. and Fire Station 3 on 801 N.W. Garden Valley Blvd. Residents can be notified via FlashAlert of possible changes.
