The Eugene 4J School District is now accepting nominations to rename César Chávez Elementary. The district started the process to rename the school this summer after the New York Times reported allegations of sexual misconduct against the labor activist that spanned decades.

Over the last several weeks, district leaders have adopted a new policy on renaming schools and surveyed dozens of community members about renaming Chávez Elementary specifically.
