SpringFilm: Victor / Victoria
Springfield, OR – Join Springfield Public Library for a free showing of the Musical Classic Victor/Victoria at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 18th at the Wildish Community Theater in downtown Springfield.
About the movie:
Caroll Todd “Toddy” is a performer at the Club Chez Lui. He watches the club’s owner audition an impoverished Soprano named Victoria, who fails to secure a spot in the show and leaves. Later in the evening Toddy gets involved in a brawl at the club and loses his own spot in the lineup. Not long after, Toddy and Victoria meet up and concoct a scheme to have Victoria pose as a man who is a female Impersonator to help them both get back on their feet. From here, hilarity ensues in this timeless musical classic which was directed by Blake Edwards and stars Julie Andrews, James Garner and Robert Preston.
