With Mount Bachelor open for the season, Hoodoo and Willamette Pass aren't far behind, especially with this weekend's forecast of lots and lots of snow.

Speaking from the base of Hoodoo in near whiteout conditions, Leif Williams, marketing director for the resort, says the mountain is finally looking the way it's supposed to. Williams says after opening for only two weekends last season, this is a welcome change.

Williams: "When you have two years where you're just kind of sad and down about what snow we did get, there's a lot of anticipation and excitement and don't want to be let down again."

While the Climate Prediction Center forecasts warm, dry weather through March, Williams says all Hoodoo has to do is get, then sustain a good base of 40 to 50 inches.

Williams: "It’s a strong El Nino. The history shows from '97 and '82 that there was lots of rain and flooding and then, low snow. So, hopefully they're wrong!"

Hoodoo is hoping that after this weekend's heavy snow, they'll open by next Friday.
