The Register Guard reports that next month, campers will move from “Camp 99” to one of two nearby locations that would be managed by St. Vincent de Paul.

Councilor Mike Clark was the sole “no vote” because he says it’s another short-term fix that takes time away from discussing long-term solutions.

The Register Guard reports one location will have space for up to 80 homeless people to sleep in heated tents at night and stay all day.

A second location would accommodate up to 20 people, staying in their own tents.

The council approved $150,000 for Saint Vincent to manage the two spots through the end of winter.
