You will ride in a horse drawn carriage around Brownsville watching a number of sketches about life in 1909 followed by a stop at the Moyer House for more historical, and a bit hysterical skits.
This is our annual fundraiser for our wonderful Museum. May 3rd and May 4th, wagons leave every half hour.

Coastal Voices, the 55-voice premier vocal ensemble of the central Oregon coast, presents their spring 2025 concert series “Americana Adventure: Best Foot Forward.” Part I celebrates classic Americana with rhythmic renditions of familiar songs like “Skip to My Lou” and “I Bought Me a Cat,” followed by a nod to sacred traditional works such as “Down In the River to Pray” and the Shaker hymn “Gentle Words.” An audience sing-along follows the intermission (lyrics to folk songs provided.) Part II showcases modern Americana. Selections including “Animal Crackers,” whimsical poetry by Ogden Nash set to music by Eric Whitacre, and “The Marvelous Toy” by Tom Paxton, appeal to young and old alike. The salute to modern American composers continues with choral versions of “Over the Rainbow” and “Bridge Over Troubled Waters” among others. SoundWaves, the small ensemble drawn from the choir, performs several pieces. Tickets for the raffle of song-themed gift baskets are available before the concert and at intermission. Seniors 55+ will receive a $5 discount, sponsored by the Siletz Charitable Contribution Fund and the Robert D. and Marcia H. Randall Trust.

The First Sunday Native American Arts & Crafts Market features authentically made arts & crafts at this event. You will find beadwork, jewelry, fine art, crafts and herbal creations. The event will feature cultural presentations at 1pm during each event. This event is free and parking is free downtown on Sunday's.

Each month features a special cultural highlight, from traditional dancing and music to guest speakers sharing Indigenous knowledge. In Part I of the performance, the spotlight is on music for Kwanzaa, Solstice, and Chanukah. An audience sing-along follows the intermission (lyrics to seasonal favorites provided.) Christmas is the focus of Part II, featuring sacred and secular selections honoring the holiday. SoundWaves, the smaller ensemble drawn from the larger group, also performs several songs. Hawaiian music legend and National Heritage Fellow Led Kaapana is unrivaled in his exceptional picking style on slack key guitar and ‘ukulele, along with his baritone to falsetto vocal range. Down home and real, he’s a delightful performer with rascal charm. Led is joined by “The Hawaiian Boy” Mike Kaawa, Hawaii’s finest 12-string guitar player and one of its most highly regarded musician, and Mike's hula dancer sister Aurora Kaawa, who has won accolades in her own right, including being crowned Miss Hawai‘i.

The Shedd’s MUSIC & WORLD CULTURES program offers a wide variety of cultural enrichment performances each year. All of these programs are entertaining for children and adults alike, while also having an educational underpinning to set the music in its cultural and historical context. We provide each participating teacher with a large, integrated curriculum packet that includes the words for the songs, vocabulary words, extra activities, reading suggestions, and more.

Perla Torres explores the humanitarian crisis happening at the US-Mexico border as it relates to the increase of disappearance and migrant death. Arizona's efforts to identify this unjust loss of life, accompanying families in their search and holding space for families to build community as they grieve with ambiguous loss, and raise awareness about the consequences of border militarization.
