Preschool Storytime at the Newport Public Library, 35 NW Nye St., on Wednesdays all school year long!

Enjoy engaging stories followed by a fun, themed craft designed for little hands and big imaginations.

This program is perfect for preschoolers and their caregivers, offering a weekly opportunity to explore creativity, practice early literacy skills, and enjoy quality time together.

Join BEST for Bike Happy Hour! Meet up with others in your community and talk all things bikes and active transportation, in the company of featured guests.

Everyone is welcome! We urge people to arrive by bike, but come using whatever mode of transportation works best for you.

After trying different days of the week and locations, Bike Happy Hour will usually happen on the 3rd Wednesday at Gratitude Brewing (540 E 8th Ave, Eugene)

Bilingual Storytime returns to the Newport Public Library, 35 NW Nye St., on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 5:30 PM, and will continue all school year long! Families can enjoy stories told in both English and Spanish, followed by a fun, hands-on craft.
This program celebrates language, culture, and community, creating a welcoming space for children and families of all backgrounds.

Oran Mor Meadery will host the Umpqua Celtic Session on the 3rd Thursday of the month. The first regular session will be on 21 April at Oran Mor starting at 6 pm. Come on down to ColdFire Brewing to play fun and friendly cribbage every Monday from 6:30PM(sharp)-8:30PM! You do not need to be a great (or even good) player but you do need to know how to play cribbage before joining the fun. Prizes are ColdFire Brewing gift cards for the top 20% of players (more players = more prizes). We will bring all the needed boards and cards; you just bring $3 (small bills appreciated) and a good attitude! No preregistration necessary.

Critical mass is a worldwide movement where people who ride bikes gather once a month to bike together in a festive and radically pro bike movement. We ride through the streets of Eugene for about 1 and 1/2 hours and then end the ride with a social hour/mega dance party.
