Bilingual Storytime returns to the Newport Public Library, 35 NW Nye St., on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 5:30 PM, and will continue all school year long! Families can enjoy stories told in both English and Spanish, followed by a fun, hands-on craft.This program celebrates language, culture, and community, creating a welcoming space for children and families of all backgrounds.All supplies are provided—just bring your curiosity. Come on down to ColdFire Brewing to play fun and friendly cribbage every Monday from 6:30PM(sharp)-8:30PM! You do not need to be a great (or even good) player but you do need to know how to play cribbage before joining the fun. Prizes are ColdFire Brewing gift cards for the top 20% of players (more players = more prizes). We will bring all the needed boards and cards; you just bring $3 (small bills appreciated) and a good attitude! No preregistration necessary.

Led by volunteers with hearing loss and The Shedd Institute's LOOP OREGON committee, Sound Advice is a free, monthly gathering of peers to share knowledge and experiences with hearing loss. The group meets in a hearing looped classroom, practices using this powerful assistive listening system, and explores ADA-guaranteed rights to hearing access. Drop ins and partners welcome.
