Eugene Police are investigating hate graffiti on a large mural at Community Alliance of Lane County, CALC. The incident was reported on Friday by a CALC employee. Police say the faces of at least three images of civil rights leaders on the mural were damaged as well as some of the mural’s words. Eugene Mayor Lucy Vinis said, . “We condemn this act. As mayor, I join our City Council in our commitment to ensuring that Eugene fulfills its promise to be a welcoming, inclusive and safe community for all. This hatred has no place here."
