In Oregon a Teacher, In New Mexico a Star

In Albany and Corvallis, he's a music teacher and guitarist, but in New Mexico, he's a star.  We're talking about Chris Arellano.


The public is invited to celebrate Latino culture tonight at Springfield's Sprout! Regional Food Hub. The block party is being organized by the University of Oregon's Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and Huerto de la Familia or the "Family Garden." Executive Director Sarah Cantril says a rising Latino Population is a large contribution to Oregon's economy.

September is one of the big harvest months for Oregon agriculture--apples, pears, hops.  It's also a time when the fields are full of farmworkers.....a large percentage of whom may be subject to sexual harassment.  It's a subject that's long been taboo, but a growing number of women are speaking out.

Every day at her job at a vineyard outside Salem, things were the same for Clarisa:
