KLCC is keeping you informed with this special Voters Guide for the 2025 Oregon Special Election.
Oregon Special Election May 2025

Voters around Oregon are casting their ballots in the 2025 Oregon Special Election. The deadline to register to vote has passed, and the ballots have already been mailed.

These special elections include school board races, bonds and levies, and other government officials. In Lane County, over 200 people filed to run for office to fill over 70 positions, including school, water and fire districts.

Ballot boxes are now open! Use our "Voting Information Tool" to locate the ballot box nearest you. The deadline for ballot drop off is 8 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20. However, you can also mail in your ballot as long as it is postmarked on or before May 20 and is received by the local county elections office within the week after the election.

Important Election Dates

May 13, 2025 - Last day to conduct public certification test of vote tally system.

May 15, 2025 - Last day counties required to mail absentee, reissued or replacement ballots.

May 20, 2025 - Election Day. County Clerks office open 7 am - 8 pm. Official dropsites open until 8 pm, for minimum of 8 hours.

May 20, 2025 - Seven day campaign finance transaction reporting ends.

May 20, 2025 - Last day for voter to return ballot. Ballots that are mailed must be postmarked by election day. Ballots deposited in an official drop box must be received by 8 pm on election day.
