Mark your calendars for a vibrant celebration of culture, community, and connection. Guy Lee Elementary (755 Harlow Rd., Springfield) is thrilled to announce its 4th Annual Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Celebration on Friday, May 8, from 5 to 8 p.m.
This free, family-friendly event will showcase the rich traditions, flavors, and artistry of AANHPI communities in our region.
– Cultural performances from local artists and dance groups.
– Delicious foods from Bobablastic, Jing-Jing's Filipino Cuisine, OG Poke, Chaiyo Thai Food Truck, Kona Ice, T-Swirl Crepe, The Taste of India, Kento's Hibachi on Wheels, and Royal's Samoan BBQ.
– And fun activities like Hawaiian lei making, calligraphy, henna, and more that will help kids learn about the different Asian, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander cultures in our local community.
This event is supported in part by the Heritage Arts Grant from the Springfield Arts Commission, and will include food from local eateries served on reusable dishware provided by Waste Wise Lane County, a part of Lane County Waste Management.

Estamos muy emocionados de celebrar nuestra cuarta celebración anual de la herencia asiático-americana, nativa hawaiana e isleña del Pacífico en la escuela primaria Guy Lee.
Se trata de un evento GRATUITO para toda la familia que incluye:
– Actuaciones culturales de artistas y grupos de baile locales.
– Deliciosa comida de los food trucks de AANHPI: Bobablastic, OG Poke, Chaiyo Thai, Kona Ice, Taste of India, T-Swirl, Kento y Jing Jing’s Filipino food.
– Y actividades divertidas como la elaboración de collares hawaianos, caligrafía, henna y mucho más, que ayudarán a los niños a aprender sobre las diferentes culturas asiáticas, nativas de Hawái e isleñas del Pacífico de nuestra comunidad local.
