Jason Brown

Program Director

Jason Brown joined KLCC as Program Director on January 30, 2019.  Most recently Brown was Operations Director at KRCU in Cape Girardeau MO, and host of the music show Left of the Dial.

Jason comes with over 20 years of experience in public radio, covering day-to-day operations, hosting shows, training and managing staff, fundraising, and creating on-air and digital content.

"I love public radio and feel fortunate to work in it,” Jason says. “I admire its ability to tell stories fairly and accurately. I find it exciting and rewarding to produce content for public radio’s varied and knowledgeable audience. As KLCC Program Director I look forward to building on KLCC’s rich legacy while leading the station into the future.”

  • Join us on Christmas Day, noon until 5:00pm as KLCC presents a This American Life Holiday Marathon! We kick off the fun and merriment with the epic 30-minute version of David Sederis’ now legendary tale of being an elf for a mall-Santa. From there you’ll hear hilarious, tender, and off-beat takes on the holiday as only This American Life can do. An amazingly talented improv group riffs on the holiday before an audience, Jonathan Goldstien imagines Santa as a widower, and the late great David Rakoff shares wisdom that one can only get from playing Sigmund Freud in the window of an upscale Barney's department store in Manhattan. Our own team of elves at KLCC poured through the archives to bring you all these favorites and more.
