If one drives east from Eugene into Springfield along Franklin Boulevard you pass through a rather ugly industrial looking area. And, if you look to you left you might catch a glimpse of the Willamette River. It’s not the prettiest area in our region, but that glimpse of the river can also be a glimpse into the future.
The area is called Glenwood and if the City of Springfield has its way it will transform into a real signature and scenic area in the community.
On this program, you'll hear conversations with leaders at the City of Springfield, Allie Camp, Economic Director and Mayor Sean VanGordon, about the Glenwood Redevelopment Project and the city's budget fixes. We focus on how Springfield is transforming the Glenwood project and also transforming of some of the structural problems in its budget.
