Van Gordon: “There was a lot of questions making sure dollars would turn to pavement. People wanted to see how we knew, if they gave us additional dollars, just how it was going to matter in their day to day life and experience in the transportation system.”
Van Gordon says a bi-partisan committee made sure to limit the bonds to eight segments of roads, and include reports about how the money was used.
